First of all, you should get access to certain territories on the Seafaring map so that new quests for your main land can appear. Completing these quests will open certain buildings on the Social tab of the store. The Seafaring items you need for the construction are automatically taken from the relevant warehouse or from your inventory, if there are any. You can construct one building of each type on every island except the Marble Fjord.
