In addition, Pollen can be obtained from the chests that Floris the Fairy Queen of the Flowers will offer you, and sometimes, from bonus gifts.
The Pollen obtained from the chests is added to the scale, and the surpluses go to inventory and will be stored there until the next Bloom.
