Points are given out to the union as a whole, and to every individual player. Even if a group quest is not completed successfully, when it is over, you still get points for each event you were able to hold within in the time limit.

Completing the quest in time will give you and your union additional ranking points, as well as valuable prizes. The points will be given to the union; additionally, the same amount of points will be distributed among the union's members according to their contribution.
